Mentors help you to decenter men. Men want you to believe that women are bitter, especially older women. Men want women to feel disgusted at modern women and modern dating because it’s fully informed dating as a fully autonomous woman. You don’t need a man and you never will.

Older women have been the backbone of my development as a journalist and as an individual, and so many younger women write off older women because they think they are speaking from bitterness. Finding a mentor and experiencing mentorship is a game-changer for young women, but too many will never experience it because they’ve listened to men. Very sad.
