Trailblazers and trendsetters: A new generation of Black leaders work to inspire change (video)

PennLive, at the beginning of Black History Month, asked its readers to tell us who are the people who are part of the next generation of Black leaders working to uplift their communities.

And our readers responded enthusiastically. We received dozens of nominations of men and women under 40. Some own their own businesses. Others are activists and advocates, trying to right the wrongs they see. Some are athletes turned coaches and mentors. Some are rising in the ranks of state government, or advancing in their workplaces. Some are running nonprofits, providing housing and filling other needs.

All in all, PennLive profiled 38 trailblazers and trendsetters. In the video below, you’ll meet many of them. And below you’ll find links to the stories that tell you a little about each one, and what makes them a trailblazer or trendsetter.
