New office space to support female entrepreneurs in Hartford [Video]

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – The women’s business development council (WBDC) has a new office in Hartford.

This new 2,500-square-foot space was funded in part by a $150,000 grant from the US small business administration.

The building is located in the brownstone building and will offer WBDC staff the opportunity to work closely with female entrepreneurs in the greater Hartford area.

Lawmakers including Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Fran Pastore, founder and CEO of WBDC said, “What do they need? What do they want? They are going to get it.”

Since 2020, WBDC has provided more than $11 million in grants to help fuel growth in small businesses across Connecticut.
