Erased from history? Phoebe- female leader and deacon in the early church. [Video]

The Bible gives us clear evidence that Phoebe and other women were ministers, leaders, and deacons in the early church. The same Greek terms used to describe elders and those who rule over the church are used to describe Phoebe. Paul even calls her a leader of many, and of himself. We will look at Romans 16:1-2 and examine it carefully to prove that Phoebe did indeed lead in the early church in the same capacity as men did. Women may serve as elders and deacons. We will look at the Greek to show that when describing leader qualifications male pronouns were added to English bibles, but do not exist in the original language texts.
