ECHO Shop rebrands to reflect entrepreneurship program [Video]

A shop featuring women entrepreneurs is rebranding and celebrating the change on Nov. 30.

Refined & Co., at 2124 Y Street, will be the new name of The ECHO Shop.

“This rebrand embodies the vision of women-led economic empowerment and our commitment to supporting new American entrepreneurs in creating sustainable, independent businesses,” said Kelly Ross, the ECHO Collective’s founder, in a news release.

The rebrand reflects the ECHO Collective’s entrepreneurship program, The Refinery, where refugee and immigrant women are provided with business education and support.

The ECHO Collective began in 2020 and offers The Refinery entrepreneurship class and aims to break down barriers for English language learners hoping to start a business, according to the collective’s website.

The shop in Turbine Flats is run as a cooperative and opened on Dec. 1.
